Double Take
As I promised yesterday, I'm showing you the second journal I created using those oh-so-captivating stripes! I love it! Most of the time I don't have duplicate papers, so I rarely get to experiment with multiple looks using the same elements. This was a fun opportunity for me to play--I've been relishing it! This journal is so clearly related to yesterday's, yet changing the direction of the paper offers a fresh take.
Fall seems to arriving in fits and bursts here, bringing with it changing weather. One day its hot, the next rainy, the next its in the 70s. It's keeping me on my toes! Sunday it was raining here, so I was glad yesterday was clear with not too much humidity. Since I cover my journals with a clear glaze coat, I need some minutes outdoors to do that--and rain puts a major "damper" on that process (oh chuckle chuckle chuckle!). Not only does the glaze add smoothness to the feel of the book, but it adds strength, durability, and even a smidge of water resistance to the covers. I don't want your journals to simply be something pretty to look at, I want it to be used! Taking these extra steps on my end means on your end, you get something that will keep pace with not only your mind and heart, but also something that keeps up with your day to day lifestyle. Enjoy!
