What made this even better was sharing a few hours with friends. We laughed, we had adventures, there was of course chocolate (it was Valentine's Day. It was mandatory). One of my friends' husbands was spending the night at the homeless shelter he helps with, so much of the chocolate got delivered to guys staying at the shelter that night. A little homemade goodness to help make their Valentine's Day a wee bit brighter. Sometimes just knowing someone was thinking of you and wanting to give you a little bit of joy makes a huge difference, doesn't it?
