Little Girl Journal
Have you guys been dying of boredom with the lack of activity on my blog and Etsy shop? I know I have been! But this morning I sweet talked my finicky scanner into action. I've been saving this particular paper for a Little Girl Journal since I think the colors are so cheerful and the overall pattern is young and sweet.
The bottom image is a screen capture of a partial page inside Little Girl Journals. I tried my hand at a couple computer sketches when laying out the pages for this journal. There are two birds, some day lilies, dandelions, and miscellaneous circles and squares.
A few weeks ago I received this feedback from someone who purchased a Little Girl Journal (this just warms my heart!):
Though I love them all this journal as my favorite!! I am partial to red!! My 8 year old loves this. The quality and love put in to this and all the journals goes above and beyond!

Dot Circles and Red Posies
It's Friday, I'm sipping a cappuccino, and it's a glorious day! Even though the espresso is trying its hardest to liven me up, the thunder and lightning from the wee hours are keeping me slightly sleepy! I'm thankful that I took the time last night to lay out my supplies I'll use for today's journals, because it makes being productive a little easier--hooray!
This is another Little Girl Journal, so playful and full of charm. This cover pattern is a smidge more grown up than the birdie covers on the other Little Girl Journals. I think this would hit the sweet spot of a tween just waiting to record her wishes and dreams.
If these journals have caught your fancy, but you've got a hankering for a different look, just drop me a note. I'm happy to put together a journal using your input for the cover! Contact me via email at: atelierjoie@me.com; or swing by my facebook page and leave a message there. Easy peasy!

More Birdies--Aren't They Tweet!
There is just something so appealing about birds. The can be whimsical or elegant, elaborate or simple, chubby or stately--so many options! This Little Girl journal has a pair of darling birdies enjoying each other's company. While bold, this color combination is girly as well. When I showed the images to my mother she stated that this journal is her all time favorite! How tweet! (I know, I know! I'm done with the goofy puns!).

Introducing Little Girl Journals!
I'm so excited to share with you my latest addition to the journal family: a Little Girl Journal! This one has captured my heart with its sweetness. I drew whimsical flowers on some pages, and darling birdies on others. The quotes and scriptures that I love to see on journal pages haven't been forgotten either--this journal has text appropriate for young girls (including fun fonts to make the experience even more engaging!). And it wouldn't be an Atelier JOIE journal without an assortment of lined, gridded, and blank pages. Bouncing bubbles and cascading squares, fanciful questions and sweet sayings, top ten lists and so much more fill the pages. If you have a little girl in your life, this is the journal for her!
This cover just makes me smile--look at those happy birdies and whimsical flowers. So adorable! I couldn't help myself and added ten tiny jewels to the flowers on the cover, can you see them? And the color scheme is fresh and young--just right for a little girl. The interior pages are printed on 28 lb paper, which is a smidge heavier than your average paper...which means it is more marker and pen friendly. Yay! Altogether its a creation that brings me joy--joy that I'd love to share with you! Be sure to visit the etsy shop to see this journal and more:

Little Girl Journals
The other day I was assembling 4 journals for an order, and the sweet little girl I watch was enamored with the whole process. She oohed and ahhed over every step, from cutting paper, to folding, to stitching, and especially creating the cover.
Sweet Little One has asked me before if she could buy a journal from me. I knew the ones I was working on weren't quite what a little girl might want in a journal, which sparked the idea to create a whole new journal for little girls! It's been a fun process finding quotes and laying out pages.
Tonight Little One got her first glimpse of the new journal, and was she ever delighted! She pored over every page, asking questions and exclaiming happily her plans to fill the book. And that was just the test sample--she still hasn't seen the other half of the book! Little One tells me she's happy to be my guinea pig and report back to me what she thinks, and what she likes. I can hardly wait for her critique!
